How can I find a bass volume control for using input speakers on a laptop?

Altec Lansing ADA745 Speakers and Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS?

I received the above speakers sold with a Dell computer several years ago. It consists of 2 front, 2 rear, and one subwoofer, and has always performed well.

I built a new computer with the above sound card. I have been unable to get sound to come out of the rear speakers. I have downloaded instructions for the speakers at http://www.proaudiosuperstore.com/pdf/altec-lansing-ada745-instructions.pdf and the instructions for the sound card are at http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download.asp and have tried multiple configurations without success.

I know that the rear speakers work because there is sound when I plug them into the port for the front speakers. Basically, I can’t find a port on the back of the card that will drive the rear speakers. Anyone had a similar problem?

How do you install speakers to a computer?

My dad just bought some speakers from a friend, nothing came with them except a cord connecting them and a cord to connect it to the computer. The speakers are “Altec Lansing” my Monitor is called “View Sonic”, and the computer part is a Dell. The Monitor used to be a Dell but it got shaky and we replaced it. There is a speaker on the computer but its really crappy. Does anyone know where the cord should be plugged into?
It doesn’t seem as if there if a place for the jack on the back of the computer, does that mean theres somewhere else to put it?
